Huehues (Art toys design)

Back in 2013 the author of this toys project called "Huehues" contacted me to redesign his characters for some new art toys. He had some previous work done but he wanted to develope a basic structure amongst other details pulished for his lovely characters based on folklore dances and customs from Mexican regions all over the country. So based on what he asked me I took a munny-like structure and started working over it. I also did some RLY low budget animation that I'm including here.
Earlier in 2017 they managed to manufacture this traditional-hand-made art toys of his characters and I personally loved them. I mean, they are not THAT accurate but there's a lot of love and work put to them by real hard working people and you can tell. It saddens me that he's not selling those toys any more. Anyways, here's what I worked
